Privacy policy
Effective October 15, 2026
What we collect
- Your Google email address, when you sign in, to create and identify your account. We don't receive your Google password, contacts or anything else from your account.
- Whether you want Pro emails: if you tick "Email me about Pro" when signing in, we save your email and the date you agreed, and send you occasional emails about LineScout Pro (new features, beta invites and offers). Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Your 21+ confirmation, which you give each time you sign in.
- A sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. It's the only cookie LineScout sets, and it isn't used for tracking or ads.
- Anonymous visit counts: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies and doesn't identify you.
- When you were last on the site, and whether you've asked for Pro access.
- Questions you ask Ask LineScout (Pro), screenshots you add to the slip checker (Pro; read once by the AI and not saved), and how many slip checks and questions you've used today (for the daily limits).
- Alert subscriptions, if you turn alerts on: the push address your browser gives us for that device. Alerts are sent through your browser maker's push service (Apple, Google or Mozilla) with no message content; the message is fetched from LineScout after it arrives.
- Bets you choose to track on the My bets page (the bet, odds, stake and result), so your record follows you across devices. Only you can see them.
What stays on your device
Your bet slip, filters and settings are saved in your own browser and never sent to us. When you ask Ask LineScout about your slip, the bets on it are sent with that one question so it can be answered.
Services that help run LineScout
- Google: sign-in. Google's own privacy policy applies to your Google account.
- Cloudflare: Workers AI answers Ask LineScout questions (your question and the relevant board data are sent; your email is not), and Web Analytics counts visits without cookies.
- Render: hosts the website.
- Our own backup server: account, tracked-bet and alert records are copied every few minutes to a server we run, so they survive website restarts. It is not shared with anyone.
- Public sports data (ESPN scores and stats, sportsbook odds, public betting percentages, UFC fight stats and weather forecasts) is fetched by our servers. None of your information is sent to those sources.
How long we keep it
Chat answers and question counts are held in memory and cleared at least daily or whenever the site restarts. Your account, last-seen record and email choice are kept while you have an account. If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you right away.
Deleting your data
To stop Pro emails, use the unsubscribe link in any email. To delete your account, email the LineScout team from the address you sign in with. Deleting it removes your tracked bets, alert subscriptions, email choice and last-seen record and signs you out on every device. We keep only your email on a block list so the deletion sticks.
Age
LineScout is only for people 21 and older (18+ where that's the legal betting age). We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too.
